TARGET LOCKED

How shortcodes work

Build one reusable message and let OwlReach insert each prospect’s company and contact values at send time.

What a shortcode is

A shortcode is a double-curly placeholder in the subject or message. When the campaign job sends an email, it replaces the placeholder with the matching value from the selected prospect.
{{company_name}}\n{{domain}}\n{{email}}\n{{website_url}}\n{{phone}}\n{{tech_stack}}

Available campaign fields

  • {{company_name}} inserts the saved company name.
  • {{domain}} inserts the normalized prospect domain.
  • {{email}} inserts the recipient email address.
  • {{website_url}} inserts the website URL when available.
  • {{phone}} inserts the primary saved phone number.
  • {{tech_stack}} inserts the saved technology list separated by commas.
You can type a shortcode or use the tag buttons in the Message step of New campaign. The preview panel uses a real recent prospect when one is available, so inspect the preview before saving or sending.

Missing values and defaults

If a prospect does not have a value, the shortcode becomes blank. You can provide a fallback with the default syntax, for example {{company_name|default:"your team"}}. Keep the sentence grammatical when optional data is absent.
Never paste raw passwords, SMTP credentials, or private notes into a template. Templates are rendered into outbound email and may be stored in campaign records.
